FAQ

Below are some of the questions I get asked about my bears so hopefully you find the answer you are looking for. If not, please contact me. Please allow 24 hours for a response.

  • How long does it take to make a bear? - On average each bear can take 4-7 days to create, depending on the details required. Please allow a minimum of six to eight weeks for Wedding or graduation bears.
  • What material do you use to stuff the bears? - I use hypoallergenic hollowfibre filling which is the same material used for pillow and cushion stuffing. It is suitable for all and allows the bears to be washed if needed.
  • Are the eyes/nose safe? - I always use safety eyes and noses which have a non-removable washer on the back so they should not come off. However, it must be noted that the bears are NOT toys/playthings and therefore should not be given to small children/babies.
  • Can I add a name to the bear? - Unfortunately due to the direction of stitches in crochet, it is not possible to add full names. But I can add an initial if requested.
  • Can the bears be cleaned/washed? - Recommendations are to place in a laundry netting and wash on a delicate/wool cycle at 30 degrees. Do not tumble dry.
  • Can I give the bear to my child to play with? - It is not advisable, due to choking hazards. These bears are not toys but keepsakes only.
  • How will I get my order? - Depending on what option you choose you can get it delivered or you can collect. Please see the shipping policy page for more information
  • What is your return policy? - If the bears are made-to-order or personalised, then unfortunately they cannot be returned unless they are damaged upon arrival. Please read the return policy page for more information or contact me.

Disclaimer: Please note that my bears are not designed as toys. They are for decorative purposes only due to small parts and possible choking hazards. No responsibility will be accepted for misuse.
